1. Who operates the service and what these terms cover

These terms describe the conditions on which FIRST Video Saver provides its website, browser-based media preparation service, support and optional desktop extension. “FIRST”, “we” and “our” refer to the operator identified in the operator-information panel on this page. “You” means the person using the service or, where properly authorised, the organisation on whose behalf that person acts. FIRST is a product name; it should not be assumed to be the name of an incorporated company.

The service is operated by FirstVideoDownloader, 1–2 Alpen House, Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Contact support@firstvideodownloader.com. These terms should be read with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Copyright Policy and Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Where a checkout states a particular price and billing period, review those details before confirming payment. A marketing example is not a promise that an unsupported source or format will become available.

2. Eligibility, authority and account responsibility

Use the service only where you can enter the relevant agreement under the law that applies to you. If you use FIRST for an organisation, you must have authority to do so. Do not provide false registration details, use another person’s email without permission or share an account to evade the trial or service limits. A parent, guardian or authorised institution should assess whether the service is appropriate before allowing a person who cannot contract independently to use it.

Free website downloads use a pseudonymous browser session, without an email or password. Paid checkout collects an email for receipts and restoring purchases. A one-use email link can restore paid access on another browser. Keep that link private and tell support if you believe someone has accessed your purchase without permission. We may ask for proportionate information to establish account ownership. Do not send a password, session cookie, payment-card number or source-site credentials in a support message. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but these terms do not automatically make you responsible for every unauthorised act by an attacker.

3. What the website and extension do

The website accepts an individual supported media link, inspects available formats and, when you request it, retrieves and prepares a file on a processing server. Video and audio may need to be merged; selected audio outputs may be converted. You then save the prepared file through your browser. A successful preparation is different from a completed transfer to your device, and neither step guarantees that a particular third-party player will support every output.

The optional desktop extension is a separate route. Direct media can be handled by Chrome, while a local companion can inspect supported sources, merge tracks or convert audio on the device. Website use does not require that extension. The public website must have its processing server configured for browser downloads to work; a static copy of the landing page alone cannot provide the conversion service. Instructions and notices should identify which route is being used.

4. Your rights in source material

Submit a link only where you have the rights or permission needed for the requested copying and use. You remain responsible for checking source licences, agreements, privacy interests and applicable platform conditions. A publicly accessible video is not necessarily licensed for downloading, redistribution, commercial use or modification. A format returned by FIRST is a technical availability result, not a rights clearance or a statement of ownership.

You retain whatever rights you already hold in your material. You authorise only the technical retrieval, temporary storage, processing and delivery necessary to fulfil your request, subject to the Privacy Policy and operating controls. We do not acquire ownership of a video simply because it is processed. Do not use FIRST to bypass encryption, access controls, paywalls or account restrictions, or to obtain material that you are not authorised to access.

5. Three-download trial and how it is counted

A browser receives three successful free downloads once without creating an account. Free video is limited to available formats up to 720p, and free audio to MP3 at 128 kbps. Higher resolutions and other audio options require PRO. Each qualifying download uses one slot regardless of the video’s duration, including a video longer than one hour. Video and audio exports use the same allowance. It is not a daily or monthly reset. Clearing cookies or switching browsers can prevent recognition; the service does not claim to identify a person reliably across devices. Deliberately evading the allowance or rate controls is prohibited. The trial does not require payment-card information.

An active preparation can reserve a slot so that simultaneous requests cannot exceed the allowance. A failed, cancelled or expired job releases an unused reservation. The server commits a slot once it has served the complete prepared file, including when a resumed transfer uses several byte ranges. It cannot verify a browser’s final save to physical storage. Re-fetching ranges of the same prepared job does not create another trial charge. Starting a new job is a separate download. If a technical failure produces an incorrect count, contact support with the job details.

6. Paid plans, renewal and lifetime access

The published prices are in US dollars: $4.49 per month, $29.99 per year billed as one annual charge, or $89.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase where that plan is enabled. Any tax or other amount required at checkout must be displayed before you pay. The annual monthly equivalent is only a comparison; it is not a monthly billing arrangement. Monthly and annual plans renew until cancelled in accordance with the billing policy.

Paid access removes the three-download trial quota. It does not remove file-size, processing-time, fair-use or capacity restrictions, guarantee support for every source or promise uninterrupted service. “Lifetime” means access while FIRST continues to operate the relevant service, not the purchaser’s natural life or a guarantee that every current feature will exist forever. Material changes, discontinuation and remedies remain subject to applicable consumer law; a lifetime label does not permit us to disregard those rights.

7. Stripe and activation

Payment details are entered with Stripe’s hosted checkout. FIRST does not ask you to enter full card numbers in a support form or store those numbers in its account database. Your payment method, billing information and the processing of a transaction are also governed by the relevant payment-provider terms. FIRST remains responsible for its own service and customer obligations; Stripe is not presented as the operator of FIRST.

A browser returning to a success page does not by itself activate paid rights. Activation follows server verification of the payment or subscription notification. There can be a short delay. If a charge appears to have succeeded but your account remains restricted, contact support with the receipt or transaction reference, not card credentials. Do not repeatedly purchase the same plan merely because a page has not yet refreshed.

8. Operating limits and fair use

The website currently supports output files up to 2 GB and one active processing operation per browser session or purchase. Source limits, server capacity, storage and a processing timeout can prevent completion even when a source video is technically available. These limits apply to trial and paid accounts. We may apply proportionate rate controls to protect availability, prevent misuse and manage resources. The service is not a bulk mirroring system or an archive-storage provider.

Do not resell access, automate large batches, overload the service, interfere with another user’s work, probe private network destinations or manipulate payment or trial records. The Acceptable Use Policy provides more detail. Where we change a material limit that affects an existing paid agreement, we will consider appropriate notice and remedies under the agreement and applicable law rather than assuming that a general update clause overrides those obligations.

9. Quality, estimates and source availability

FIRST offers source formats that it can identify and process. It does not create genuine extra detail by upscaling, and lossless audio encoding cannot restore information discarded by an earlier compression step. File sizes may be measured, estimated or unavailable before preparation. Approximate values are labelled, and the final container or conversion can differ from a source-byte estimate.

Third-party websites may change their formats or access requirements. A source may be removed, restricted or unavailable in the processing server’s location. Private, protected, live or unsupported playlist content is not promised. We do not control the original publisher and do not guarantee that a file or a particular resolution will remain accessible. Use the trial and verify representative files before relying on a format for a time-sensitive project.

10. Temporary files, cancellation and support

Prepared website files are temporary. The configured service expires a job one hour after preparation and removes expired job folders through a housekeeping process while the service is running. A restart can remove transient media sooner. Save the file promptly and keep your own authorised backup. The privacy notice explains the separate handling of account, billing and support records; temporary media deletion does not mean all records about your account disappear.

You may cancel active work through the available control. A request already fully transferred cannot be made “not downloaded” by cancelling afterward. For a problem, tell support the stage, time, chosen format and error text. We may need a non-sensitive job reference to investigate. Support availability is not a guarantee of immediate response or a promise to repair unsupported third-party sources.

11. Suspension, termination and fair remedies

We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, suspected fraud, a credible security threat, a legal requirement or serious interference with other users. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow a response. We may act without advance notice when delay would increase a security or legal risk. If you believe a restriction is mistaken, contact support and explain why.

You may stop using the service and request account closure. Cancel recurring billing separately if a subscription is active, unless the closure process expressly confirms cancellation. We will handle access, refunds and data retention according to the applicable policy and legal obligations. We do not use a broad suspension clause to take away mandatory consumer remedies or to retain payment for an unjustified failure to provide the contracted service.

12. Liability, consumer rights and disputes

We will exercise the care and skill required by applicable law. You should keep originals and verify important outputs because processing and device transfers can fail. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for losses caused solely by an unauthorised use of the service, a third-party source’s independent actions or a device or connection outside our reasonable control. Any assessment must consider the circumstances, causation and legal duties that apply.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights or removes rights relating to fraud or other non-excludable conduct. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or restrict any court or complaint route available under applicable consumer law. Please contact support first with a clear account of a dispute; doing so does not prevent you from using a statutory complaint or court process available to you.

13. Updates and contact

We may update explanatory wording or the service as it develops. A revised version should show its effective date. Changes intended to apply to an existing paid agreement must be made fairly, with any notice and options required by law. A new policy page should not silently rewrite the price or material conditions of a purchase already made.

For service questions, billing problems, rights concerns or an accessibility issue, use the published support contact. Keep a copy of material checkout terms and receipts for your records. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue only to the extent consistent with applicable law and a fair interpretation of the agreement.
