1. FIRST’s role

FIRST processes a user-supplied source link and temporarily prepares media for that user. It is not a public catalogue of uploaded videos and does not claim ownership of the source content. Users must have the rights or permission needed for the download and intended use. A source being publicly viewable is not, by itself, permission to copy or redistribute it.

The website and source platform are distinct services. If an original video remains on a third-party platform, a request to FIRST does not automatically remove that original. A rights holder may also need to use the source platform’s own reporting procedure. FIRST can investigate activity and material within its control.

2. Sending a useful complaint

Contact the published support address with “Rights complaint” in the subject. Identify yourself and explain your authority to act. Describe the protected work or right, give enough information to locate the original, and identify the FIRST page, job or specific activity you believe is problematic. If you have screenshots or a source URL, include only what is necessary to explain the concern.

State what action you are requesting and why. Confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the rights holder or authorised representative. Do not include passwords, session cookies, payment details or unnecessary personal documents. A vague statement that an entire website is unlawful may not give us enough information to locate and assess a particular issue.

3. How a complaint may be handled

We may request clarification, review relevant information, disable access to a prepared file or restrict activity where justified. The appropriate action depends on the evidence, applicable law and what remains within our systems. Temporary files may have expired before a complaint arrives; that does not prove that no request occurred, nor does it mean a permanent copy remains available for inspection.

We may preserve proportionate records where there is a lawful reason to do so. We do not automatically send private account information or a recording to a complainant. Privacy rights and legal process still apply. Where a formal legal notice requires a particular form, use that form and identify the legal basis rather than assuming this general policy substitutes for every jurisdiction’s procedure.

4. Responses and disputed claims

A user who receives a restriction may explain a mistake, permission, ownership or another relevant basis. A clear response should identify the complaint and provide proportionate evidence, such as a licence or authorisation. It should not contain insults, threats or unrelated personal information. We may seek further information from either side before deciding what can appropriately be restored.

This policy does not automatically create a US statutory counter-notice or make FIRST a registered agent under a scheme it has not joined. FIRST operates from the United Kingdom; applicable legal procedures and mandatory rights remain available. We will not promise a fixed restoration deadline where doing so would conflict with a valid legal restriction or require information that is not available.

5. Repeat misuse and good-faith reporting

Repeated substantiated misuse can lead to proportionate account restrictions under the Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. Deliberately false complaints can also harm legitimate users and may have legal consequences. Use this route to raise a real rights concern, not to suppress criticism or obtain another person’s private account information.

If your concern is about a technical error or an unwanted payment rather than rights in content, use the corresponding support or billing route so it can be handled efficiently. You may still contact the published address if you are uncertain which category applies. Include enough context for a person to understand the problem without disclosing secrets.

6. Contact and operator information

Send rights complaints to support@firstvideodownloader.com, or FirstVideoDownloader, 1–2 Alpen House, Portsmouth, United Kingdom. This contact does not represent registration as a US statutory agent or a law firm.

Keep a copy of your complaint and relevant communications. If a matter is urgent or requires a binding legal remedy, consider the appropriate platform, authority or legal process available to you. Sending an email here does not prevent you from exercising rights through a competent body.
