1. Use the service for authorised work

FIRST is intended for supported downloads that you have the rights and authority to request. Appropriate uses can include preserving your own published video, preparing licensed material for an offline workshop, or producing an authorised listening copy of an interview. The purpose matters as well as technical availability. A source appearing in a search result or returning a downloadable format does not establish a licence.

Do not submit material to harass, expose private information, facilitate unlawful activity or violate another person’s rights. Respect the conditions under which recordings were made and shared. A paid subscription does not grant copyright ownership, privacy clearance or access to a third-party account.

2. Respect access restrictions

Do not use FIRST to bypass encryption, DRM, paywalls, account restrictions or other technical access controls. The website does not accept source-platform passwords or browser cookies. Do not submit credentials in a URL in the hope that the service will sign in on your behalf. Where an authorised account export is necessary, use the source platform’s supported process or ask the owner for a file.

Playlists, live sources and unsupported authenticated material are not promised in the current service. Repeatedly changing a URL or creating extra accounts to obtain restricted content is not an appropriate workaround. Report a source-availability issue without asking support to remove a protection or misrepresent access rights.

3. Protect the service and other users

Do not scan private network addresses, probe cloud metadata services, submit malicious links or attempt to turn the service into a proxy for unrelated traffic. Do not tamper with job identifiers, session cookies, account records or billing notifications. You must not attempt to read another user’s prepared file or alter a trial counter through an unsupported request.

Do not knowingly interfere with the availability or integrity of the website, worker, payment integration or another user’s device. If you discover a security issue, stop testing before accessing unnecessary data and contact support with a minimal, responsible description. Publicly exposing a private token is not needed to report that it exists.

4. Fair use and resource limits

The website currently limits prepared output to 2 GB and permits one active operation per browser session or purchase. It also limits overall processing capacity, request rates and processing time. Paid access removes the trial quota; it does not provide an unrestricted processing cluster. Do not use multiple accounts, bots or coordinated requests to defeat those controls or to run a bulk mirroring business through an ordinary plan.

Do not resell access or promise clients a guaranteed processing speed that FIRST has not agreed to provide. Keep a backup workflow for time-sensitive work. Where legitimate requirements exceed ordinary limits, contact support rather than attempting to hide automated traffic or make the service appear to serve unrelated individual users.

5. Trial and payment integrity

The three-download allowance is one-time per recognised browser, for video up to 720p or MP3 at 128 kbps. Each successful transfer uses one slot regardless of duration. Failed, cancelled or expired work should release an unused reservation. Do not exploit account creation or clearing browser storage to obtain repeated trials. If the system counts a failed transfer incorrectly, request a review with the relevant details.

Use your own authorised payment method. Do not manipulate checkout return URLs, forge a payment notification or represent a declined transaction as a subscription. Payment disputes and refund requests should be handled through the billing policy and legitimate provider processes, not through threats to overload or expose the service.

6. Enforcement and review

We may apply proportionate restrictions where activity reasonably appears to breach this policy, threaten security or create a legal risk. The response can include declining a source, limiting requests, suspending an account or preserving relevant information where lawfully necessary. Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and give the user an opportunity to respond.

A policy is not a licence for arbitrary action against a legitimate customer. If you believe a restriction is mistaken, contact support with context and a non-sensitive account or job reference. Consumer rights, privacy obligations and legitimate dispute processes continue to apply. We will not ask you to prove good intent by sharing your password or full payment-card details.
